Most companies charge per animal and only set up one cage. Here at A.W.A.E. we charge per trip and set up multiple cages when necessary.
By baiting a cage at a client’s home or business, it’s extremely easy to catch a wide variety of non target animals. Although baiting cages is sometimes the only option, we use an innovative approach to connect the trap to the hole the animal is coming in and out of. That way we know that the animal in the trap was not attracted by bait! It was simply just leaving the hole or trying to regain entry. We are here to remove animals not empty your checking account.

Bat Removal

Bats can become a major problem. Bat season becomes a significant issue over the summer, as bats mate, which causes their population to increase. In Illinois, there are 13 different species of bats. We use live traps in almost all cases except for mice. Once caught, the animals are safely moved to a designated release site where they are reinstated into the wild when possible. A target animal is what we refer to as the animal we are trying to catch. We have a 2 month guarantee that your home will stay target animal free. Should one get back into your home, we’ll come out and set everything up for free. There will just be a charge for the animal removal.

AAC is an American manufacture of VERY solid animal proofing products. They may not be the cheapest but we sure you they are worth it. they specialize in outdoor coated custom metal screening and trim work, which usually blends in perfectly with your existing vents.

Square roof vents and Ridge venting, The hidden issue.

The weakest part of your home is where there is already a hole! your attic needs to breathe and have proper airflow. This is usually done by venting the attic space with Ridge venting or square roof vents. these vents cover holes made right through the roof, and they do a great job ventilating the space. the problem is air is not the only thing that can get through them. they simply are not designed to keep out pests and wildlife. That's why we turn to AAC, we cover those areas with Ridge-Guard and Exclusion PRO. These products keep the pests and wildlife out without restricting airflow.  

Deck Screening

Deck screening material is a 1 x 1 inch wire mesh screen that we install into the ground under concrete porches and wood decks to prevent animals from digging under them. This process is guaranteed to stop skunks, ground hogs, opossums, and raccoons from digging and getting under the concrete porch, shed or wood deck. The wire we use is the best wire on the market. This is a 14 gauge double galvanized black PVC coated wire that won’t be damaged by the minerals in the soil. It is BLACK WIRE. This confuses the animals because they can’t see it very well and don’t understand why they can’t dig any deeper. These are little things that make a big difference and what we are all about.

Meet the family!

I owe a lot to my uncle Officer Al Jurs, who was one of the leading members in our state for training police officers how to properly handle wildlife problems. My company and my skills have grown by leaps and bounds over my many years of removal of nuisance animals from people’s homes. My wife Sherry has worked with the company for a long time, my youngest son Jason has just finished college and is seeking a job as a Department of Natural Resources (DNR) officer. Our secretary is Karen Jurs (my cousin), she has been dedicated to helping the office and caring for the animals. Everyone who works here is either family or very close friends to the family. We are a very close tight knit team!
